Essential Rations Distribution at Gaiwadi, Girgaum

The Mumbai Kendra stepped in to distribute provisions to a group of women from a red-light area, whose families are entirely dependent on their earnings in Gaiwadi, Girgaum, South Mumbai on 3rd April. The lockdown forced them to continue their stay in the area. We distributed 2kgs rice, 1kg dal and 1 litre of oil packets to each of their families. A total of 80 women were provided with 24 packages of essentials to suffice them for 15 days.

SOS from Khadakpada Study Centre

The Satsang Foundation Mumbai Kendra runs a study centre at Khadakpada in Aarey Colony. Volunteers, visit the Study Centre every week to teach and conduct lessons for the underprivileged children staying in the locality.

The parents of these students are mostly daily wagers. We received a SOS request from them to help them in this crisis situation of locked down.

A few volunteers were able to visit the area to distribute food grains on April 2nd.

We were able to support 150 families with 150 packages of provisions on this day. This ration will suffice for 15 days.
