The Satsang Seva Mission responds rapidly to humanitarian crises with timely, tailored, and compassionate help.
Our response to the COVID-19 pandemic has been dynamic and facilitated by on-ground volunteers across India. From providing PPEs and intubation boxes, COVID care centres, food to homeward bound migrant workers and marginalized communities like sex workers, devising livelihood solutions for flower growers, to rebuilding communities after Cyclone Amphan in West Bengal, we strive to alleviate the suffering of those who need help the most.
Our Mission is to alleviate suffering for the most vulnerable. We are driven by our Founder, Sri M’s belief in Seva, selfless service.
Our response during the COVID-19 pandemic in India has been multifaceted, evolving with needs on the ground. A few projects include:
Relief Centers in Andhra Pradesh, NCR, Gujarat, Karnataka, Kashmir, Kerala, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and Uttar Pradesh are responding to the needs of thousands of families affected by COVID-19. Our volunteers work with District Administrations, Municipal Corporations, NGOs, and Gurudwaras to procure and distribute dry rations, daily cooked meals, as well as PPE including N95 face masks, and sanitizers to the police and frontline workers.
The Satsang Foundation has a history of serving the underprivileged with education, healthcare, and mid day meals for over twenty years, and relief work during disasters like the Kerala and Mumbai floods in 2019, and Kedarnath floods in 2018.
The Satsang Seva Mission, an initiative of The Satsang Foundation, was founded in 2020 to serve especially at times of humanitarian crises and natural calamities.
We are a volunteer run organization.
The Walk of Hope led by Sri M for peace, harmony and tolerance, was a 15 month-long padayatra from Kanyakumari to Kashmir spanning 7500 kms across 11 states of India in 2015-16. Walks of Hope have since taken place in several countries including the UK, The Netherlands, and The Hague. The Satsang Seva Mission is now serving communities touched by the Walk of Hope.
