Construction of classrooms at Dapurmal Village, Thane District

In the remote, roadless tribal hamlet of Dapurmal (Thane District, Maharashtra), 30 families were faced with a severe crisis: their local primary school was dilapidated and dangerous, often infested with snakes and scorpions. Undeterred by a daily 2 km walk, the children’s eagerness to learn inspired Satsang Seva Mission volunteers to act in concert with the local community in early April 2026.

Yoga Outreach

Forty bright souls from Grades 5 to 7 at Mithanagar Semi-English School, Goregaon who had walked a steady yoga journey through the scholastic year gathered for a tender session—a moment of reflection, gratitude, and togetherness.
The session opened with a prayer, invoking blessings from our teachers and the lineage of wisdom that guides us. A gentle recap of our curriculum followed, reminding the children of the rhythm and discipline they had embraced.
Handouts were then shared—simple sketches of Surya Namaskar and notes on the philosophy of yoga—gifts for their summer days, to be read, reflected upon, and practiced whenever their hearts call. Alongside, a few chocolates sweetened the moment, symbols of joy and appreciation.
The gathering closed not with farewell, but with a quiet resolve: to carry forward what has been learned, to nurture it in silence and practice, and to return in the coming academic year with renewed focus and enthusiasm.
