Flood Relief Efforts at Mathura-Vrindavan
Heavy rainfall since August-end 2025 in Uttar Pradesh had caused flooding of the Yamuna River in Mathura-Vrindavan. Residents of impacted colonies were evacuated to relief camps and provided with meals, shelter, and medical aid.
The Madhu Ki Rasoi team joined hands with the district administration on 2 September 2025 to provide cooked meals to flood-affected communities at the relief camps, reaching out to daily wagers and farmers who had lost their livelihoods.
From 6 September, freshly prepared, hygienically packed meals were distributed to 500 people every day even as the daily annadaanam seva continued at various locations in Mathura-Vrindavan, providing hot meals to 300 hungry travellers, pilgrims, and underserved communities.
The flooding of the Parikrama Marg in Vrindavan led to the further isolation of rural communities living near Vrindavan. From 9 September, the team reached out via tractors and boats to these families awaiting evacuation to flood relief camps by offering meal packets, fruits, bread, and water to 500 families every day till the flood waters receded.
