Madhu Ki Rasoi
Nestled in the heart of Vrindavan, where devotion reigns supreme, Madhu Ki Rasoi, is a community kitchen, an initiative of The Satsang Foundation. Launched on 3 September 2023 by Sri M, this community kitchen provides daily meals, organizes festive celebrations, and engenders a strong sense of community in the twin cities of Mathura-Vrindavan.
- Daily Sustenance: Madhu Ki Rasoi serves about 300 meals every day, bringing relief to weary travelers, pilgrims, sadhus, and the less privileged.
- Festive Feasts: Beyond daily meals, Madhu Ki Rasoi goes the extra mile. During festivals like Janmashtami, it organizes grand bhandaras serving many more meals throughout the day, spreading festive cheer alongside sustenance.
- Compassion Beyond Hunger: The spirit of Madhu Ki Rasoi extends beyond physical needs. Fostering a sense of community, the volunteers have reached out to the Matajis at Mahila Ashray Sadan and children at the Juvenile Reform Home.
- Mobile Meals for the Homebound: Dedicated volunteers offer meals through a van, ensuring that those unable to reach the anndaanam seva locations can still receive nourishing food.
Impact
Since its inception, Madhu Ki Rasoi has served over 2,35,899 meals, alleviating hunger and offering a beacon of hope in Mathura-Vrindavan. The initiative’s dedication to community transcends food, building social connections, and supporting vulnerable populations.
From April 2023, our in-house Madhu Ki Rasoi in Madanapalle has served over 2,36,354182 meals with an average of 300 wholesome, nutritious meals per day to not only children of the school, but also volunteers and residents on premises plus visitors who come to spend time at the Ashram. These could go up exponentially on special occasions when people gather to soak in the teachings of Sri M on Shivaratri and Guru Purnima.
